Dr. Joseph Brent Novak, DMD- General Dentist

Dr. Novak graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry with his degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Prior to commencing his dental training, Dr. Novak earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from Purdue University and worked as a Civil/Structural Engineer for several years.

Before founding Bushnell Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Novak was one of four dentists working at a large, high technology dental practice in Hernando County, Florida. After working there for five years, Dr. Novak decided to start a practice of his own. His goal was to create a state of the art dental practice with a caring touch.

Dr. Novak is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.

Dr. Novak and his wife, Zelda, reside in Bushnell with their 3 dogs.  He has been a proud sponsor of many worthy causes in the community.

Dr. James McAnly, DMD- General Dentist

Dr. McAnly was born in St. Petersburg, FL and raised in Arcadia FL. He attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Dr. McAnly was accepted into the University of Florida General Practice Residency where he treated a variety of medically compromised patients. After his residency program, he purchased a dental practice in Orlando ,FL where he practiced for 8 years. Dr. McAnly currently holds dental licenses in Florida and Tennessee and is a member of the American and Florida Dental Societies.

Dr. Nadeem Ahmed, DMD- General Dentist

Dr. Ahmed was born in Hudderfield, England and moved to the united States in 1987. He attended Barry University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Ahmed graduated with honors from the University of Florida College Of Dentistry. Dr. Ahmed has received advanced dental training from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Ahmed volunteers at the Orlando Dental Research Clinic treating indigent, homeless and abused people. He also volunteers for the Give Kids a Smile program. This program provides needy children with the dental care they deserve. Dr. Ahmed is resident dental expert on the “Ask the Doctor Show” which airs live on Saturdays at 2 PM on AM 580 WDBO. Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Central Florida District Dental Association and the Dental Association of Greater Orlando.

Dr. Ryan Mendro- Periodontist

Dr. Ryan Mendro earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Florida in 2001. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University in 2005. Upon graduation, Dr. Mendro continued his education and earned his Master of Science Degree and Certificate in Periodontics at the University of Florida in 2008.

When Dr. Mendro is away from the office, he enjoys cooking, working out, and everything outdoors.

Dr. Alan Wong- Orthodontist

Dr. Alan Wong is a native Floridian, originally from Fort Lauderdale. He received both his bachelor's and dental degrees from the University of Florida. He completed his orthodontic residency training at the world renowned Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. In his final year of orthodontic residency, he served as chief resident. He has also served as a dentist with the rank of Lieutenant in the United States Navy. During his service, he was stationed in Bangor, Washington and San Diego, California. He has had the opportunity to literally live in every corner of the United States and is happy to return to his home state.

Dr. Wong is board certified in by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction only awarded to a small number of orthodontists. He holds active memberships in the American Dental Association, American Associaiton of Orthodontists, Florida Dental Association and Southern Association of Orthodontists
